Richard Lalande
Deputy Managing Director of the SFR Cegetel group, a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal

Richard Lalande is also Deputy Chairman of Monaco Telecom, Chairman of Cegetel.rss, Chairman of Association SMS+, Chairman of AFORS Télécom (French association of telecom operators and services companies) and a member of the CCR (radio communications consultative committee).

Richard Lalande began his career in the civil service, where he spent ten years in a variety of positions within the Direction Générale des Télécommunications (the French telecommunications administration), the Secrétariat Général du Comité Interministériel pour les Affaires Économiques Européennes (general secretariat of the interministerial committee for European economic affairs) and the French Ministry of Industry.

He entered the telecommunications industry (CGCT) in 1983.

In 1987, Richard Lalande joined the Compagnie Générale des Eaux (now Vivendi Universal), where he devoted himself to founding the Société Française du Radiotéléphone, before becoming its Managing Director. In September 95 he was given responsibility for developing fixed telecommunications infrastructure, before becoming Deputy Chief Executive of the SFR Cegetel group.

Richard Lalande has degrees from the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale Supérieure de Télécommunications (ENST).
